Yeah Dick the GOP has to this point won the messaging battle. If the dems can't manage a few mono syllable large font TV commercials describing how bad the OBBBA is for us then, well, we will be on our way to losing the country for good.

Got to give them credit for knowing how do play the long game. They've been after Social Security since the ink was still wet on FDR's signature, and every other program designed to help average Americans well before that. In my career as an ad writer, I worked on a number of political campaigns, and I've long been perplexed by Democrats' refusal to adopt basic messaging tools to persuade voters. Your citing of the "class warfare" mantra is a case in point. The same goes for labeling every healthcare reform proposal of the past 80 years as "socialized medicine." And when Dems do attempt stick to a message, they often set themselves up for for easy counterattacks. Was anything more tone-deaf than "defund the police"? Frank Luntz is a world-class douchebag, but he gave the GOP a winning playbook for shaping public opinion; why can't liberals turn those same tools against the Reichwing?
